Emma Watson was interviewed by Mark Lawson. She was playing Hermione Granger at Harry Potter's six movies. They did this interview before Harry Potter and Half-Blood Prince is the sixth book in the Potter franchise arrived in cinemas. She was 19 years old at that time and she had playing Hermione for ten years.
They talked about the character - Hermione Granger-, her childhood and her partners in the films and finally her giving up acting. The interview began with Mark Lawson's introduction about Emma Watson and then continued with a part of the conversation between Hermione and Harry in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie.
Mark Lawson firstly asked " in previous interviews Daniel Radcliffe and Timothy Spall who plays Peter Pettigrew in the Potter series had told me that they read the J.K Rowling novels as soon as they appeared to check out what they might have to do on the screen. Was Emma Watson the same?"
Emma said she read the books before she was a part of films and she was a big fun of books.
He asked her questions about Hermione character. They talked about the extraordinary thing is that she had her whole childhood on film playing the same character. She thinks that it is amazing to be part of 8 big films and she is proud of this.
When they talked about Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), Emma found herself lucky because of having them.
Mark Lawson asked her whether she had a plan to give up acting or not. Emma definitely did not think to giving up acting.
During the interview Emma answered all questions kindly and honestly. The conversation between them went on very naturally. Finally he gave information about when the movie opened across the country at the end of this interview.
